Healthy Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe Notes
This recipe calls for canned coconut cream, this is thicker and creamer than regular coconut milk. Be sure to read the ingredients on the can to insure you aren’t getting unwanted additives.
For the maple syrup be sure to buy real maple syrup. Read the label, it should read 100% maple syrup. While the real thing costs more it is well worth it. Many of the cheep versions of maple syrup are just flavored, colored, high fructose corn syrup, splurge and get the real thing! If you are doing whole 30 or have kicked sugar completely to the curb omit the maple syrup, you will still end up with a delicious cream pumpkin spice latte.
Be sure to fully mix your pumpkin pie spice creamer into your coffee, you may find some grit at the bottom of your cup from the real pumpkin and spice. If you are considered about the texture you can try straining your coffee. However in our house we often enjoy Turkish coffee and a little grit never hurt anyone.
