Not only are my clients able to control their insulin levels and prevent that early morning cortisol crash, they are able to enjoy great nutrition on the go.
One of the things I love most about using a protein shake as my on the go meal is how satiating it is. Protein keeps your body satiated and feeling strong until your next meal, unlike many convince foods which are jam packed with refined carbohydrates that cause a quick spike followed by an inevitable fall in insulin levels. This leaves you feeling lethargic and hungry yet again, no body has time for that!
If I haven’t given you enough reasons to love protein shakes here is one more, there is a strong body of research that says high protein diets help you maintain muscle mass while following a weight loss protocol. So if you are trying to lose fat and build muscle to look great in that summer bikini you will want to make sure you are hitting your daily macros for protein! I personally like plant based protein powders, with no sugars, or artificial ingredients, on top of all that it has to taste good.
